Katseye takes on Coachella

A gnarly, high-energy set under a desert moon pushed Katseye into the spotlight as the group’s choreography, vocals and stage presence pulled the audience’s attention at Coachella. Questions around live delivery and crowd impact kept the conversation moving long after the set ended. The performance marked a defining moment as the group stepped onto a global stage and shaped how new audiences viewed their presence moving forward.

March 2026 rolled in with a brand new single from Malcolm Todd, a relatively new young artist who specializes in a blend of bedroom pop and alternative R&B. Todd released his single “Breathe” less than a year after his last album “Malcolm Todd (Still),” keeping his fans well fed with a steady stream of new releases. After an opening hit like “Breathe,” fans wait with anticipation for Todd’s next move.

Importantly, it’s not the content we put out or the popcorn we eat that makes this publication so special; it’s the people. We love each and every one of you so, so much!
A dedication from the duo
While fans of classic rock and other 20th-century genres closely tie protest music to the 1960s, the reality of the theme in music extends far beyond the hippie movement. In the 21st century, fans of genres from hip-hop to folk and every style in between can listen to the voices of their favorite artists rebelling against the societal norm. This rebellion signals an individual protest, which prompts rallying cries from everyone tuned in on the radio.
From the 2000s to the 2020s: The albums that defined American rebellion
Since the dawn of time, new generations have pushed art, society, culture and politics forward with each action they took. Though these habits merged and intersected in a multitude of ways before the 1960s, the hippie movement allowed teenage culture to become undoubtedly based upon rebellion and the creative enterprises that facilitated that mobilization. Since that time, protest has become central to the musical landscape.

April 7, 8 and 9, 2026, NC’s unbelievably talented theatre program performed their final musical of the year. “Drowsy Chaperone,” a comedic musical with slightly melancholic undertones, fit the cast and crew perfectly. While the performance went swimmingly, seniors grappled after the fact with the realization that this would stand as their final performance with the NC thespians. After just five weeks to rehearse, the performers put on a show that left the audience wheezing.

With summer break approaching at lightning speed, NC students scramble to finish their last assignments and study for end-of-course tests. Several thoughts linger on the minds of thousands of high schoolers all throughout the country, all revolving around their favorite sunny day activities. As the 2026 school year nears its end, bucket lists flood with new ideas and Pinterest boards fill with pictures of sunsets, pool days and fun crafts as each student ponders their ideal summer days.

Trends appear overnight and have spread across culture faster than ever before—fashion, music and viral moments in general shape conversations. One trend rises while another fades just as quickly—the line between iconic and embarrassing shifts with every new wave of trends.

Winning the lottery overnight would flip ordinary life into a completely unpredictable experience. Wild plans, expensive dreams and ridiculous purchases suddenly enter the conversation. One winning ticket could turn imagination into reality faster than an individual could expect.

For nearly the entire teenage population, listening to music remains a popular way to destress and self-express. Among the NC population, thousands of individuals exemplify a passion for both listening to and creating artistic sound. Students at NC pick their favorite albums and artists, from Tyler, the Creator to Lucki, and each musical performer shows students’ personalities.
