“Smile” keeps the audience on the edge of their seat with unnerving visuals and uncanny faces. Its incredible opening weekend earned 22 million, which covers the movies 17 million dollar budget. Along with the unsettling atmosphere, the film explores the trauma and mental illnesses of the characters with a horror take. Although the movie excels in quick scares, it falls short of keeping the audience frightened and setting the atmosphere.

“Hocus Pocus 2” revives the Sanderson Sisters to terrorize Salem, Massachusetts, once again. As a sequel to the 1993 family comedy by the same name, “Hocus Pocus 2” celebrates Halloween and thrives on what made the original so popular. Magic, zombies and witchcraft perfectly encapsulate the goofy Halloween humor that surrounds the story of eternal friendship and dark spells.

The $7.25 minimum wage sits in the middle of debates, two sides arguing if it should raise or kept as it stands. One side argues that it does not keep up with todays cost of living while the opposing side says that it will stress businesses to lay off employees, causing more unemployment than already present. With the absence of federal action, companies make efforts to increase their minimum wage. Amazon raised their wage in 2018 to $15 an hour and openly took a stance supporting this wage at a federal level.
