Cruising her way through her last semester of high school, Lisa-quinn is a senior and a “newbie” in ‘The Chant’ family. With no prior experience but enthusiasm and curiosity, she is a reporter who is excited about learning and sharing her viewpoints with the public.

In her free time, she loves cooking.”I think cooking is an art which is in constant development”, Lisa says. Other than that, she enjoys writing different pieces so what better way to explore her passion than to join that with the newspaper? With more than 3 little cousins in her family, she qualifies as a ‘professional’ babysitter; which is something she is often caught doing in her free time. This, she does with one eye keeping up with the latest trends in fashion.

She plans on pursuing a career in both fashion and psychology as a counseling psychologist and fashion stylist.

Referred to for a while as the bush filled with all of life’s negative effects, the world slowly tries to bridge the divide and acknowledge Africa and its inhabitants. Through education, hope arises that eventually all continents will accept each other and work together to improve the world.

NC juniors Laney Robitzsch and Tatiana Londoño smile after receiving their bronze medals from attaining the 9th position at the annual FCCLA state competition. Sophomore Kiara Kisor, the original team member, could not savor this moment with her partner due to health issues but despite all odds, the students’ determination to win a medal earned them a bronze medal, which they now wear with pride.

NC junior Rachel Charleston and a visitor from a neighboring school prep their table prior to the start of the annual, multi-school competition. Throughout the course of the morning, students faced not only cooking the meal but how to best present their delicacies. NC has not participated in this regional cook-off for the past three years, so this day grants rookie chefs a fresh opportunity to measure their skills among their peers.
