Senior setter Olivia Boyle (15) for the Lady Warriors varsity volleyball (34-16) team expressed her skill and dedication through her commitment to Florida International University (FIU). Through her numerous accolades, Boyle has proven a true star in the program and will continue this career by playing Division One beach volleyball. She also plans to study mechanical engineering, displaying her overall talent as a student-athlete.

Every student-athlete awaits that coveted day when they declare, in front of their loved ones and coaches, where they plan to pursue sports after high school. For six of NC’s premiere players, November 13 marked that special day. Across varsity volleyball and lacrosse, love and appreciation for the successful seniors echoed through NC’s Arena and set the stage for future commitments.

In a celebration of seniors and overpowering of opponents, the NC Lady Warrior varsity volleyball team (23-10) defeated the Wheeler Wildcats (8-17) by a sweep. In a talented display of teamwork and camaraderie — along with skillful kills and blocks — the girls proved yet again their aptitude for the sport. Beginning the game with sentimental tears and bittersweet hugs, the NC Warriors emerged victorious.

When transitioning from high school to college, numerous students base their future occupations around the subjects of healthcare, math or education. However, several students aim to sufficiently care for their future child without working, whether it takes years of saving or creating a home-office business. Numerous people look down on the idea of staying at home to parent, as various people do not view it as a real job, although common misconceptions skew opinions. Stay-at-home parenting should receive respect in society.
