Approaching the wrap-up of the 2022-2023 school year, NC families enjoyed their final and most exciting break yet: spring break. The majority of NC families spent April 1 through April 9 relaxing in the comfort of their homes and spending time with their families. Although, with popular vacation destinations in the Sunshine State such as Panama City Beach, Destin, Seaside and Miami, heaps of students and faculty enjoyed their break at the coastline.

Multiple factors contribute to the decision of the superior season between winter and summer. Winter attracts people who adore celebrating the holiday season, free time and cold weather. Summer compels people who enjoy performing activities in the heat and free time filled with adventure and friends.

Counting down the days to spring break—19 more days to be exact—students begin their preparations by booking condos to spend the days on the beach in their new swimsuits. “I am ready for spring break, I think everyone is. Spring break is the best break for sure, and I am excited to spend time at the beach,” sophomore Sydney Crowe said.

Perched on top of Gringotts bank, a testament to the ride and seventh book, is a large dragon. Every fifteen minutes or so the dragon starts to growl, and then lets out a breath of fire that heats up the whole alley. Local citizen and five year old Rachel Wilford commented, “The dragon was really scary but awesome.”
