Despite impressive plays from the entire team, the Warriors, unfortunately, got knocked out of playoffs after this first game, however, this year the Warriors plan on improving all aspects and coming back with vengeance. “I actually don’t think we had major weaknesses or strengths. We were generally good in all areas, but when it comes to our regions and Georgia baseball in general, ‘generally good’ is only going to get you so far,” Assistant Coach Micheal Turchan said.

Warriors swing into 2020 season

The NC Warriors faced off against the Hillgrove Hawks for their senior night on Thursday, April 18. The Hawks, ranked #1 in the state, proved no competition for NC with the Warriors beating them 12-8. The highlight of the game, where senior Jonathan Young hit a grand slam and tied the game, displayed the Warriors’ skill and determination going into playoffs.

The NC Warriors faced off against rival Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs the week of April 8, 2019. The rival teams played competitively and passionately, NC winning one of the three games and demonstrating a valiant fight in the others. “Kennesaw Mountain series is always hard-fought and emotional like a rivalry series should be,” Head Coach Tom Callahan said.
