Locations spark creativity in photography. The photo, taken in the flower field in the NC courtyard, highlights the focal point toward the center while enhancing the quality of the image by capturing the aspect of nature’s beauty in the background. NC serves as one of several spots to take amazing photos. And, so do the illustrations of murals and natural landmarks around the area.

Choosing a location poses a substantial hurdle for anyone interested in photography. Plenty of places around Cobb County hold unexplored aspects that would inspire creative photographs such as murals and historical and scenic sites that make them great locations for the best pictures.

Parks and nature reserves such as Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, located in Kennesaw, Georgia, hold recognition for their beautiful landscapes. In addition to appearing as one of the best places for hiking, the scenic mountains and hillsides openly provide access to plenty of sweet potential spots and angles for photography. The entire setting at Kennesaw Mountain appears ethereal in the summer and fall, making it the ideal spot for capturing the perfect moments of the year.

“I’ve been to Kennesaw Mountain, Lake Allatoona, and Lake Acworth, but definitely Kennesaw Mountain stood out to me the most. When you climb all the way to the top, you can see a lot of buildings from the bottom, and overall, it gives out a breathtaking scenery,”  junior Diamilatou Diallo said.

Although people recognize Kennesaw Mountain as one of the best scenic views, not all of them explored the Art Blooms at Smith-Gilbert’s Garden. The location’s artistic offerings and natural surroundings inspire creativity in photography. Richard Smith and Robert Gilbert, art enthusiasts and advocates of acknowledging artists and craftsmen, created this garden exhibition. They displayed this with an extensive modern collection that exceeded over thirty sculptures, the majority of which remained installed as permanent installations throughout the Garden. For those who love gardens and flower farms, Gilbert’s Garden creates the best spot to capture beautiful moments and produce plenty of abstract photos and background displays.

“I recommend places with a nice view rather than a plain background. Locations that have background displays can let people know our whereabouts and bring out impressions we want to share. It sets out a pretty vibe for pictures and makes them Insta[gram] worthy,” junior Najalae Griffith said.

Lake Acworth presents another excellent location for scenic sights. The area leads to a great, delightful escape where one can experience nature’s tranquility and capture treasured memories. Surrounded by water, an inviting beachside, a park, picnic areas and natural beauty, Lake Acworth covers 260 acres and owns a pavilion suited for celebrations or even an ideal photoshoot. Along with that, it sets off the perfect location for beach photography, especially for those who enjoy taking pictures in the water. The hiking trail bridge, which connects to Acworth Park, provides the advantage of capturing one of the best ultimate snapshots, too.

Even though this shot takes place on a gloomy day, it still captures nature’s serenity. Lake Acworth offers various locations for Instagram-worthy pictures. Especially for people who enjoy matching their aesthetic feel. The place provides beautiful views, pavilions, kayaking, BBQ areas, a playground and huge areas for enjoyment. Lake Acworth evokes a strong sense of community and a sense of life, making it an appealing place for families. (Ramita Das)

Graphic murals may inspire further creativity in photographs. Marietta and Acworth’s murals serve as a must-see sight for fashionistas searching to match their style to a certain locale. With these murals come exciting benefits. The illustrations contain iconic landmarks, time capsules and current events that offer their ways to attract viewers. Street art galleries convey historical and cultural identity, increase social consciousness and inspire creativity and wonder.

The murals contain the potential to show an abundance of unique aesthetic styles. The paintings and city canvases provide artistic background to make photos come out vibrant, intriguing and even impactful. Well-known murals in the area include Hansell Street-Side Wall, McNeel Alley at DK Gallery, Trailside at Thaicoon & Sushi Bar and Acworth Downtown. All of these amazing places carry the benefits of seizing the perfect photographs.

Cobb County garners an abundance of hidden gems that hold the potential to elevate photography endeavors. From the scenic landscapes of Kennesaw Mountain, the tranquil beauty of Gilbert’s Garden and Lake Acworth, to the vibrant and artistic murals in Marietta and Acworth, each location presents a unique canvas and creative expression toward photography. Every talented photographer deserves to explore those beautiful locations.
