The past month in the Premier League brings nothing short of thrill every single gameweek. New transfers exceeded expectations, others disappointed greatly. Newly introduced managers brought clubs back to former glory, and other managers committed fireable offenses, causing doubt in their capability to bring teams ahead of the relegation line.

Every student-athlete awaits that coveted day when they declare, in front of their loved ones and coaches, where they plan to pursue sports after high school. For six of NC’s premiere players, November 13 marked that special day. To promote holiday cheer and spread their love for Jesus, NC’s Collective Hope (CHC) Bible study club hosted a Christmas service project. Partnering with Operation Christmas Child, CHC packed shoeboxes with essential items that the organization will send to underprivileged children overseas. From providing hygiene products to writing Christmas cards, the club’s members hope to spread their love all the way from Kennesaw.

The janitors at NC play a vital role in maintaining the clean, welcoming environment that students appreciate. Their work remains essential to the school’s smooth operation and promotes a healthy setting. With their support, the NC community feels complete and inspired to pursue excellence together.

NC's International Studies magnet program hosted an open house for eighth graders from different middle schools throughout the county October 22. With the help of faculty and staff, future magnet students learned about the amazing opportunities the program offers. Magnet coordinator and assistant principal James Auld presented the program's basic offerings to parents and students.

When a teacher tells a student to believe in their potential, that simple encouragement can change their entire outlook and motivate them to push through challenges. Several students at NC may have experienced a teacher’s words inspiring them and their academic studies. The Chant wanted to know, so our Media Team members set out a jar and a poster with a prompt stating, “What is something a teacher said that moved you?”. If the person had an answer they would put their answer in the jar allowing our staff members to read it later. A teacher's faith in a student and the motivation they instill in young people can push kids to pursue their dreams with confidence.
NC Asks
The NBA begins its return within the month and the eastern conference looks completely changed with several free agency moves and trades, the top three teams of the conference; the Milwaukee Bucks, defending champions Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, look loaded and charged for another year of intense competition between one another.

“Divergent” by Veronica Roth received a film adaptation in 2014, three years after the book was published. The debate over the differences between the novel and the film may never settle due to the mixed opinions of what the movie adaptation needed to include but chose not to. In this episode of “Book Buddies,” the topic includes showcasing a handful of popular disagreements among fans concerning the “Divergent” film and movie, and addresses both sides.

From homecoming proposals to court announcements, the NC color guard radiates energy, cheering passionately while creating unforgettable memories. From donating to in-town facilities to creating a family-friendly environment, the importance of locally-owned trades presents itself through interviews with both the owner and a customer of Honeysuckle, as well as statistics from an NC poll.

November 9, NC’s Warrior Wrestling hosted twelve schools in honor of their annual Warrior Invitational tournament. In the midst of their varsity boys lineup, both seasoned competitors and fresh faces headed onto the mat with one goal in mind — beating their opponents. With their first event under their belts, the Warriors look forward to building upon their established successes throughout the season.

Recently, social media started a trend of thanking Beyoncé at every convenience, even though no personal benefit arises from it. This occurs from a twisted conspiracy theory of her and other celebrities using their power in the industry to stay on top. People believe the real reason for the trend becoming normality derives from the multitude of speeches by celebrities recognizing Beyoncé as the true winner of their various awards.

November 6, 2024, former President and Republican party candidate Donald Trump officially became the 47th president of the U.S.. Running against current Vice President and Democratic party candidate Kamala Harris, Trump defeated his political rival with a total of 312 electoral votes. Pushing his policies and goals for the future of the U.S., Americans will officially recognize Trump as president Monday, January 20, 2025, at the presidential inauguration.

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Kamau moved to Georgia in 2016. Having to acclimate to a new school and country, Kamau learned how to overcome adversity, and utilizes that skill in whatever challenges that come his way.
