On the second day of Black History Month, sophomores Sam Smith and Bethel Mamo look over the posters commemorating the month at the front office. “Because black people make up a huge portion of both our history and our population, it’s important to know sections of our history that deal with them, and not just them specifically, but the relations with all aspects and facets of our society,” Smith said.
