Like a photo captured straight out of a coming-of-age film, the NC Varsity Softball team pictured prepared to spread love on their Senior Night. Underclassmen walked onto the field, hands filled with goodie baskets and posters they made to give to each of the seniors during their ceremony. The girls went on to win their game, the final score a (9-7).

The NC Lady Warrior softball team huddle around 3rd base and pray before and after each game, followed by a chant to lift their spirits. “Praying and just talking to each other before each game gets us excited to go play. It kinda relieves some of the pressure we’re under,” junior Mackenzie Ogburn said.

NC Lady Warrior Softball team welcomed Coach Scott Turchan as their new Varsity head coach today. Turchan released the exciting news first period during an assembly. Players perceived the announcement well and remain hopeful to continue their esteemed legacy this season with Turchan leading towards success. “I cant wait to develop these girls as not only softball players, but as people in the long run,” Turchan said.
