Tori Altamirano is a sophomore at NC who joined the Chant to improve her writing skills. Altamirano enjoys reading, watching old Disney movies, listening to music, collecting jewelry, and hiking. She also loves spending quality time with her older sister. When she’s not writing, Altamirano can be found walking at the park or hanging out with friends. In terms of school, Altamirano’s favorite subject is science and she hopes to pursue a career in forensic science one day.

Photography persists as a unique art created by human intelligence and creativity. It continues over time and reached multiple people throughout history since the first camera came out. People never stopped taking photos and they never will. The reason for this lies within the fact that photos allow humans to freeze moments in time, not only do that but allow people to manipulate those moments in time to how they want them.

These people find comfort in the ideas of solitude and freedom. Even though a hypothetical apocalypse lacks the entertainment seen in the movies, the possibility of an apocalypse would not feel entirely horrible for these people.

Due to this development, the U.S. could find itself unable to pay its debts which would result in disastrous implications for the domestic and global economy. Politicians continue to disagree on the subject of national debt. As an economic catastrophe approaches, legislators and the Biden Administration rush to organize talks to negotiate a settlement over the debt ceiling.

The most disturbing part of the fashion industry lies within the misuse of animals. Whether stylists use the skin or the fur, nothing about it deserves praise. The fact that fashion designers use an entire body part as a centerpiece creates an even greater problem. In the case of the Schiaparelli ‘show’, it should have not happened at all. This form of ‘art’ does nothing but glorify the killing of animals, further normalizing animal abuse.

Dahmer does not deserve the recognition that he currently receives from society; instead, his victims should remain honored in ways besides making money or entertainment. 97 years after Albert C. Olney and Frank C. Vincent founded the original Key Club International organization, NC finally decided to invite a Key Club into their school. They plan to collaborate with other Key Clubs in the area and do their best to support their community. NC encourages students of all grades to join and easily gain volunteer hours while learning multiple positive characteristics along the way.
