2022 looks as if it will result in a year of memorable films and television series for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Stories of multiversal proportions will unfold before the viewer’s eyes with heroes like Doctor Strange and Thor making their return to the big screen in spring and summer of this year. “I’m excited to see more interaction between Thor and the guardians, and I’m curious as to how they’re going to power scale a literal god with a gang of hooligans. I hope Thor becomes a slab of man meat again. Fat Thor was funny for like 30 minutes,” senior Stanley Alalof said.

“I’ll always love Tobey Maguire because he was the first Spider-Man I ever watched, but I can’t deny the new movies are good. Tom Holland’s movies fit so well into the Marvel Universe and I love seeing all of my favorite characters in there. His and Zendaya’s love story is adorable, the newest movie killed me,” junior Ava Green said. The Spider-Man franchise created multiple reboots of the original, changing the plot each time and introducing new villains. Spider-Man defeats the criminals each time, protecting civilians and proving that good always overcomes evil.

Disney released the second in a line of planned Marvel Cinematic Universe shows, The Falcon and the WInter Soldier. I really enjoy the way theyre portraying bucky and how hes trying to reform and become a better person, redemption arcs are always awesome. Falcon is also shown struggling with real world issues instead of being a 2D side character so it seems the focus of the show will be on character development and how they need to grow to fill the space left by Captain America. The first episode served as a great hook and Im excited to see what the rest of the season has in store, junior Gavin Williams said.

A compilation of various Captain Marvel comics released since the characters growth in popularity. First introduced as a supporting character in 1973, Captain Marvel now finds herself as one of the central members of the Avengers in the comics, as well as Marvel’s most prominent female character. The film seems to take inspiration from writer Kelly SueDeconnick’s 2012 relaunch on the character (the comics that propelled her to the front of the Marvel Universe, as well as the classic Kree-Skrull War story, wherein the two eponymous alien empires battle for control of the universe, and the Avengers find themselves in the crosshairs.
