Dominik Perez is a junior at North Cobb. He enjoys spending his time writing, hiking, reading comic books and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Growing up he always had an affinity toward writing and expresses his passion for the hobby through comic scripts, short stories and writing personalized adventures for his friends to play through during their weekly D&D meet-ups. He spends most of his time writing working on independent projects whether they be an idea for a comic book or editing the works of his friends. 

Dominik hopes to write as a career and plans to attend SCAD to obtain a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. His dream is to publish a full-length graphic novel of his own.

Students spotted UFOs above NC today. As the aircraft hung there ominously in the sky, people in the surrounding areas have begun to worry. Their purpose for being there remains unknown although some speculate it relates to the notorious cockroach whisper. “They’re finally here. They’re here for him. Oh boy.” senior Zach Willaims said.

The program Teens in the Driver’s Seat spreads driver safety and awareness in the cafeteria today. Students come up and answer a question about safety for a chance to spin the wheel and earn prizes such as t-shirts, bracelets, rings, and bumper stickers. The program aims to keep teen drivers aware of the dangers of the road while educating them on how to drive cautiously.

NC students celebrate their Hoopcoming week as they dressed comfortably against the wet and rainy day in their pajamas . They support their basketball team while feeling comfy. “Today is pajama day, so I decided to participate. It's just fun because it's nice to be all cozy at school,” sophomore Lauren Sloan said.

International exchange student, Aixa Rúa Rodríguez, stands on her temporary school campus sharing one of her paintings from her AP Drawing and Painting class.  The painting features a star-filled night sky presumably from her hometown of Boadilla, Spain. As a sibling of a former exchange student, Rodriguez came with a good understanding of life in America.
