NC students celebrate their Hoopcoming week as they dressed comfortably against the wet and rainy day in their pajamas . They support their basketball team while feeling comfy. “Today is pajama day, so I decided to participate. Its just fun because its nice to be all cozy at school,” sophomore Lauren Sloan said.

Seniors Ryan Getz and Sam Lacandazo “and I oop-ed” their way through Tik Tok Tuesday, imitating the popular stereotype of VSCO girls on the app. The seniors did not show fear to come out in their shorts on a chilly day to show their appreciation for NC.

The Chant staff takes part on the first day of Spirit week, Yacht Party, meaning that all students wear white. The Chant represent their school spirit and can not wait for tomorrow’s trend.

Tribal Connections works on homecoming posters getting the students at NC ready for the homecoming dance. Today in homeroom, students nominated two girls and two boys to see who will show up on the homecoming court. This year boys gained the opportunity to appear on the court along with the girls since in previous years the court only contained female nominees. This year homecoming week falls through October 1-5. The dance, an event students look forward to every year, will occur on October 6. Before the dance, a week of themes occur where students dress up according to the day’s theme and a football game on the friday before the dance. The game this year happens to be a bit more special since NC will play against Kennesaw Mountain, our rival.
