After eight years of renovating its facilities, NC hosted its first home track meet on March 25. The JV track and field team dedicated themselves to their meet and placed in several events. Overall the girls placed second to Campbell High School and the boys placed first altogether. The Warriors look forward to the rest of their season and hope to host future meets.

Despite posting a 1-4 record so far this season, junior Quintin Ferrara lost a close battle but showed his resolve throughout the match. Ferrara and the boys’ team welcomed a couple of new faces to the group earlier this season as well as coach Andrea Drake. Coach Drake prepares the team fully for upcoming region play and tournament.

It kinda relieves some of the pressure we’re under,” junior Mackenzie Ogburn said.

NC Warrior tennis team travels to Campbell highschool tonight to take on the Spartans. After a tough loss before winter break, the team eagerly awaits to face off against their opponents hoping to bring home a win. “I cant wait to play tonight, I love playing alongside my teammates and learning from them,” sophomore Lorenzo Alcaron said.

Moran, a reliable asset of the Warrior special teams, found himself in the kicking spot multiple times due to the six touchdowns of the Warriors. “Our kids responded [to the rough start of the game].
