With each passing day, another NC student hears the exciting news: Coach Adam Cogbill’s muffin cart has returned to the halls and courtyard of NC. With the help of Coaches Jeffrey Bettis and Matther Tener, muffin distribution has resumed, with COVID-19 safety precautions still in place. Regaining popularity from before the pandemic, the muffins need no advertisement besides three simple words: “We have muffins,” Bettis said.

	NC defense worked intently to keep Mustangs out of the home goal. With quick footwork, the girls powered through the first half with a positive and determined mindset. “I’m proud of our defensive lineup, and the girls really worked hard against the Mustangs. We tried our best to defend our goal and the positive outlook is all I could ask for from the girls,” sophomore Adriana Irizarry said.

NC kicks off its first annual For The Kid’s Carnival, a fundraiser thats works with Miracle Hospitals across the nation. At the carnival, hosts plan to announce NC’s partnership with FTK, beginning the school’s drive to give to the charity and fund next year’s dance. The school will provide food trucks, music, and tons of fun.

Today in the cafeteria seniors Nadya Awino, Chloe Roberson, Stefanie Garcia, and Najda Sahovic sell maroon colored ribbons for 25 cents to support victims of the Parkland school shooting. All funds will contribute towards their GoFundMe and will help with the march and any left over funds will help the victims of the shooting.

Junior Chloe Vernex-Loset, senior Jordan Hicks, and sophomore Deandre Mallory all hold signs to bring in more cars. With each car costing $5 and each truck/van costing $10, students washed over 50 vehicles. In total, Drama Club raised $515.

Heart to Heart created and designed multiple jars for a coin drive to help the CASANA foundation. “We were excited about the first creation of the jars because next week we hope to raise a lot of money for the organization with our customized jars that will hopefully urge people to donate,” sponsor Mrs. Theaker said.
