With a tough loss in the elite eight last year, the team plans to regain status and improve their overall performance in the upcoming season. “I am excited about this upcoming season we are returning six starters from last year’s Region 3-AAAAAAA and are looking to repeat as Region Champs with an eye towards a state championship,” Head Varsity Girls Coach Andrea Drake said.

The NC Warrior boys lacrosse team will lose eight of their talented senior players after this season finishes. All athletes plan to finish out their senior lacrosse year by participating in playoffs for the second time.

NC’s varsity lacrosse team played games Kennesaw Mountain High School, Trinity Christian High School, and North Springs High School. With one win out of three games, NC’s record moved to 4-5.

Junior Zach Hall shoots and scores the only goal for the NC Warriors during their first game against the Cherokee Warriors on February 23. The game ended at 13-1 after Cherokee demolished NC. This defeat left players and coaches angry, but made them determined to work harder at practice and push themselves more during games.

The spring sports open up with golf, soccer, baseball, tennis, lacrosse, and track. NC started tryouts for each sport before the seasons began, training each new player and helping returning athletes further hone their skills. NC will host each team’s games until the season’s end, giving players a chance to show off their skills on the field.
