After a 17-0 victory against East Paulding (0-5), the NC varsity boys lacrosse team (1-3) hoped to capitalize with two victories, but unfortunately fell convincingly to two top-notch opponents. On this episode of Sideline Spear, Nathaniel Jordan looks ahead to how the Warriors may bounce back in the lengthy season. With plenty of games to play, the 1-3 Warriors still show great upside for the remaining season.

Numerous Oscar-winning dystopian movies from earlier decades became known for their intricate storylines and captivating scores. Unfortunately, this genre of film dwindled significantly in past years due to the rise in popularity of other genres such as romance, horror and young adult fantasy. Older dystopian book-to-film adaptations continue to receive affection from fans. In particular, three different series: “The Maze Runner,” “The Hunger Games” and “Divergent” hooked younger audiences in the 2010s and influenced movie tastes for Generation Z today.

NC senior running back David Eziomume (2) has undoubtedly left his mark on the Warrior Nation. As the four-star Clemson commit prepares for the 2023 state playoffs, his future head coach Dabo Swinney sets the table for the future Tiger. After an unprecedented breakout senior season, Eziomume leaves his mark on Warrior football and moves on to his next chapter.

The International Extravaganza makes a groundbreaking return after a cancellation due to the pandemic in 2020. April 28, the NC Warriors (8-17) battled on the court against the Creekside Seminoles (15-3) for their last home game of the season. After winning the intense match against the number one team in the state, NC honored six seniors in a ceremony to celebrate their future endeavors. The Warriors then beat the defending state champions, Tucker High School (4-4), following the celebration. While the seniors’ season comes to a close, the memories of scoring impressive wins on senior night will remain in their hearts forever.
Serving up success at senior night
The NC varsity soccer teams honored their 13 seniors during their matches against Allatoona High School. Although both teams fought intensely for the class of 2026, the Buccaneers proved resilient, sweeping the two matches and maintaining their winning streak. Even though the score displayed in favor of Allatoona, NC’s determination and collaboration throughout the night successfully honored the seniors and helped send them off with lasting memories.
NC soccer shines on senior night
Friday, March 28, the NC Lady Warrior varsity soccer team (1-11) traveled to Etowah High School (9-4) to face off in an intense region match-up. Both teams battled and left their heart out on the field. By the final whistle, Etowah defeated NC in an upsetting score of 4-0. The Lady Warriors will move on, ready for redemption, facing off against East Paulding April 1 in a non-region game.
Eliminated by the Eagles
March 17, the NC Lady Warriors faced the Walker Wolverines in an intense lacrosse battle. The match focused heavily on the appreciation of the NC seniors, celebrating the time and energy the graduating girls dedicated to the team throughout their academic career. With an outstanding win on the Warriors’ side, the senior night continued with music, shout-outs and photographs.
Luck and lacrosse on varsity girls’ senior night
Starting their season February 3, the NC girls varsity tennis team worked non-stop to perfect their technique and synergy for the 2026 school year. Now, with only five matches remaining in the year, the team celebrates the seniors who have led NC tennis to success. Wednesday, February 10, families and friends rallied together to commemorate the athletes’ hard work on senior night.
Shining bright on senior night
An intense scrimmage between the NC varsity soccer boys and the Kell Longhorns February 6 marked the beginning of the varsity boys soccer season. While the game ended in a tightly battled score of 2-3 and the Longhorns came out victorious, the Warriors put up a tough fight. The game served as a scrimmage, so it did not affect NC’s record, and it allowed the team to build in-game chemistry moving into the real season.
