With the 2020 NC lacrosse season just around the corner, the NC girls Varsity lacrosse team prepares for their season by conditioning intensely every day, Monday through Friday. After failing to make it to playoffs this year, the Lady Warriors plan to come back stronger than before thanks to new and returning players and a stronger bond as a team.

After defeating a tough competitor, Dalton High School, the NC Varsity boys lacrosse team celebrated. Hopefully, this win will happen once again this season with the help of a new coach, Dennis Desanctis. “Coach Descantis brings a knowledge of the game that we have not really had before, which can make our whole team better if we listen and act on his advice,” Goodsite said.

Lacrosse springs into a new season

NC varsity lacrosse team will play their first game of the spring season against Pebblebrook at 6:30 p.m. tonight, February 12. For the game tonight, senior Zach Hall hopes to score four goals. “I am really excited to hopefully win our first official game after defeating the Wheeler Wildcats at our scrimmage,” sophomore Jonah McKouen said.

NC boys lacrosse will work on more ball movement drills at their next practice on Thursday, August 23. The players will split between varsity and junior varsity to practice more efficiently and focus on different skills for each group with varsity traveling to the NC upper grass field and junior varsity staying on their usual practice field—the Awtrey middle school field.
