NC students celebrate their Hoopcoming week as they dressed comfortably against the wet and rainy day in their pajamas . They support their basketball team while feeling comfy. “Today is pajama day, so I decided to participate. It's just fun because it's nice to be all cozy at school,” sophomore Lauren Sloan said.

At tonight’s football game, students, friends, and families will wear pink to show awareness for breast cancer. Because October serves as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Relay For Life sold pink shirts to students and teachers so they could show their support. “I am a big supporter of Relay For Life here at North Cobb. I’m proud of my association with it, my sister is a 15-year Stage 3 breast cancer survivor, so I celebrate the research that’s been done and I want to support it anyway I can. So wear pink, and let’s yell ‘Go warriors’,” AP Psychology teacher Melanie Shelnutt said.

The student section, clad in all pink for the pink out in support of their fellow warrior junior Fatima Asad, celebrates the first touchdown of the game by waving their orange spirit towels. “We are pink for Fatima, being a nation means never standing alone,” senior class president Chike Asuzu said.

The crowd of more than 2,500 students watch in anticipation as the speakers try to fire up the crowd, leading into the prominent entrance of the football team. The cheerleaders pause their dancing to place a central focus on the team’s entrance, serving as a solid start and promotion to the year’s football season. The Arena lights eventually dimmed, and a variety of students across the space lit up their cell-phone LED lights, waving them in the air in support of the football players about to race through a large banner.
