The Varsity volleyball game September 19 embodied action as the Lady Warriors faced off against Walton’s Raiders. Leading up to the game, NC’s team jittered with anxiety due to a multi-year rivalry between the teams. The NC Lady Warrior volleyball team won in 3-1 sets, a thrilling result for the anticipation-filled players. Now, the team moves on through regions, incredibly motivated to win.

Senior forward captain Alex Acosta (35) ran the court at NC’s first region game Tuesday right alongside junior forward Terrell Reeves (30). Acosta started off the 2021-22 season playing his 3rd and final varsity season with the NC Warriors as the lone senior on the team. Acosta motivates his team before games, getting them hyped in the locker room and preparing them to have fun and to stay positive when playing.

Seniors on NC Lady Warriors softball team step up to bat for the last time in their high school careers tonight at senior night. The girls feel prepared to leave it all on the field as they face off against the Hillgrove Hawks. The seniors eagerly await to participate in this celebration that they have watched so many times before in previous years. “I’m looking forward to being appreciated for all that we do and have done the past four years,” senior Kathryn Bywaters said. Come out and support the Varsity softball team at their last home game of their season tonight at 5:45!

From the classroom to the field, the Lady Warriors lacrosse team will celebrate their seniors tonight at their game against Wheeler High School. “The seniors have lead us all very well, they each have a unique style for leadership but know how to revive both teams before all of our games. They pump us up and encourage us to do our best,” sophomore Molly Geraci said. The NC girls lacrosse team will celebrate each senior during their ceremony before their game tonight.

Playing their last game of the region before the playoffs, NC put their best foot forward, working hard to implement the skills they worked on during practice. “We played extremely well and we are ready to take on Kennesaw Mountain again during the region tournament this upcoming week,” senior Isabella Rodriguez said.

The NC fastpitch softball team hosts the annual Powderpuff game on Thursday, the 28. The first game will pit the junior team vs. the freshmen at 5:15. After the first game, and two more times throughout the evening, attendees will have a chance to win money in a tire toss. Gates and concessions open at 4:00, and admission will cost four dollars.
